IDUM Privacy Policy
International Dialogue on Underwater Munitions (IDUM) is a non-governmental organization founded in Canada in 2004, and established as a Dutch Foundation in The Hague, the Netherlands.

IDUM processes personal data according to the Dutch Data Protection Act or Wet bescherming persoonsgegevens (Wbp).

IDUM processes two types of personal data: first are those data which you present to us by subscribing to a newsletter, by being a business relation, by sending and receiving information through e-mail, mail of social media &c. Second are the data we collect like your visit to our social media, to our website and newsletter. Article 3, 9.1 and 9.3 of the Vrijstellingsbesluit (Exemptions Decree) apply to these categories.

IDUM uses personal information to send you or ask information or get into contact. IDUM uses generic information, such as site usage, to improve our services in a wider sense.

Your information is not shared in any way with third parties without your explicit consent. Third parties may be requested by IDUM to use our data to exclusively deliver IDUM services, invitations and the likes. Exception to the rule are court orders, inquiries by police, secret service, tax office or the data protection authority according to the Dutch Data Protection Act (Wbp).

IDUM offers you insight in information we may have about you. You may ask us to change or delete your data insofar as the Wbp rules. Please send any request to info@idum.org.

This privacy statement by IDUM is in force from 1 November 2017 and any changes will be posted in our News and on our social media.
